# Weekly marketing report kit

Complete prompts and templates. Fill brackets with permitted material.

## Select the decisions and metrics

Keep a metric only if it can inform a decision.

```text
For this business goal, propose a small metric set. For each, name the decision, exact definition, source system, period, owner, and data gap. Do not invent current values.
Goal and available systems: [PASTE]
```

## Collect a comparable log

Preserve the source period and unavailable states.

```text
Normalize the supplied observations into metric, value, unit, period, time zone, definition, source, and missingness. Flag incompatible periods or definitions. Leave unknown values blank.
Observations: [PASTE]
```

## Draft the report

State observed movement without inventing causes.

```text
Prepare a concise report from the log. Include coverage, observations, anomalies to inspect, missing data, and proposed actions. No forecast or explanation without supplied evidence.
Current log: [PASTE]
Comparison: [PASTE]
```

## Verify the interpretation

Check each claim against the log.

```text
Compare the report with the original metric records. Flag incorrect arithmetic, definition drift, missing denominators, invented causes, and business claims inferred from attention metrics. Correct supported errors and retain unknowns.
Records: [PASTE]
Report: [PASTE]
```

## Record actions

Give each accepted action an owner and check.

```text
Convert only explicitly accepted actions into an action log with owner, due date if supplied, evidence needed, and review status. Preserve proposed actions separately. Do not assign invented deadlines.
Decision notes: [PASTE]
```

## Review the reporting method

Inspect whether earlier actions happened.

```text
Review the report and action records. Identify completed actions, unresolved decisions, changed definitions, and metrics that informed no decision. Propose a justified method change, or say no change is supported.
Records: [PASTE]
```

## One-screen report template

Period and coverage:
Source definitions and changes:
Comparable observations:
Anomalies requiring inspection:
Missing or incompatible data:
Documented explanations, if any:
Proposed actions and evidence:
Human decisions, owners, and review dates:
Prior actions completed or unresolved:

## Complete chained report prompt

```text
Prepare a short draft report from the permitted metric records.
Definitions and sources: [PASTE]
Current period: [PASTE]
Comparable prior period: [PASTE]
Documented changes: [PASTE]
Prior accepted actions: [PASTE]
First check definitions, coverage, units, and missingness. Hold incompatible comparisons.
Then report observed movement and inspectable anomalies. Keep causes unknown unless supported by the supplied record. Keep visits, inquiries, bookings, held meetings, and opportunities distinct.
Check your arithmetic and wording against the source values. List unresolved gaps.
Return the one-screen template above with at most two proposed actions, or no action when evidence is limited.
Do not invent values, forecasts, deadlines, or causality. Do not send the report.
```

## Metric and action review

Import metric-log.csv. Use record_type metric_definition, observation, or action. Save units, definition, period, source, and missingness with each value. Record an action as accepted only when a real decision supplied it. At the review date, check its evidence and completion.
